Well spring has very definitely arrived here in Sydney. The nights are definitely getting warmer and daytime temps are almost pushing the mid 20s. In terms of climbing that means only one things – no more long treks down the coast to Nowra, the mountains are now the place to be. I was there a few weeks ago and whilst it was pleasant in the sun, the rock was certainly icy where it hadn’t seen the light of day for a few months. This is thankfully no longer the case! Whilst its still possible to climb in the direct sun all day the shady crags are starting to warm up. We spent most of the day climbing on main wall at Centennial Glen and whilst jackets are a definite requirement the climbing conditions at the moment are fantastic! Time to get those projects sent!
