2 weeks ago we were basking in glorious sunshine. There was not a cloud in the sky and the days were warm and pleasant.
Oh how things change…. July has shaped up to be the wettest in over 50 years. Several areas in NSW have been declared disaster areas and still the rain continues to fall. Theres been some huge swells over the last week up to four metres in places, this certainly makes for an interesting trip home on the ferry! The local beaches have taken a pounding with tonnes and tonnes of sand washed away. Down at Curl Curl yesterday you could barely see the pool with waves breaking right over the top of it.
Thankfully things are set to improve next week and Tuesday is set to start a good run of sunny days
….and improve they did – Sydney was officially the third wettest place on the planet during July. The status quo has returned though and its beau solleil all the way!
