Last week the biggest swell in a long time hit pretty much all of the beaches along the NSW coast and not surprisingly a huge amount of sand has been moved around. I had intended heading up to Newport this morning but with a slightly later start than I had intended and a great sunrise unfolding, I stopped of early at Turrimetta. This is a great location with rock shelves, boulders and gullys giving an unlimited number of compositions.
Unfortunately, this fact isn’t lost on the rest of the folks wanting to get some early morning shots and by the time I left there were upwards of 30 people lining the beach. There has been a massive amount of sand moved exposing completely new areas of the beach. Despite the crowds it was still great morning with the sun and the clouds co-operating for once!
